First Blog

Hello! I thought I could start a blog considering the amount of time I spend reading other people's! So, here goes. I'm online daily, so I do plan to write something daily-although, with an 8 month old baby, that may get difficult. She's napping now -Yeah- So, it is in the 90's today here in VA. Sooooooooooooooo hot. It's not only hot, but also humid and muggy and the air quality aint that great, so it's pretty much indoors for us. Although, Gabe and I are taking Maddie swimming this afternoon when the sun has gone down a bit. She loves it and doesn't seem to have any fear associated with the water. This is very good because I don't want her to be afraid of water like I am. Speaking of which, we are getting ready to go on vacation to Idaho! Usually when I tell people we're going to Idaho, they wonder if that's where I'm from, or they just say "Why?!?" Funny. I explain about Claudia's Family's cabin and then Aunt Susan's cabin and then Mom's 50th birthday and the fact that we all live in different places so it's also a reunion of sorts.... That's a lot to say in one breath. So, Gabe and I are excited. I'm excited to have a break from here; not that it's bad, but sometimes I lose track of what day it is and not in a good way. A good way would be, "Oh, I'm so relaxed and having a great time; wonder what day it is?" The way I'm talking is "Is it Monday or Tuesday?" Then I think "Wait, it doesn't really matter. Mad and I will probably be doing the usual-breakfast, play, nap, dress, Target, grocery store, maybe visit Gabe, walk dogs, go for a walk, etc." You get the point. Sometimes my life really is just a bunch of Thursday's strung together (Office Space). Well, hopefully you're not bored yet. Maybe something fantastic will happen this afternoon and I can post again later.

I love the blog idea. It's funny I didn't know you were afraid of water, I just know you don't go under unless holding your nose :)

I also get the same response from people when I tell them we're going to Idaho, people just don't know what they're missing!!

My first comment; how exciting. I do still need to hold my nose, but I'm also just really weary when near water. I'm more of a wader than a swimmer :)

This is so funny! Hey big sis and Dan. Just to add in, I also get the same response about Idaho, everyone looks at me kinda funny. But I am used to those looks, try saying you live in Utah to anyone who doesn't live in Utah. It's as though I said "I live in Mars."
Glad to hear you are getting your thoughts out Sarah, that can be fun.
LOVE YA! Hugs and kisses to my namesake... and of course Gabe.

How fun! Thanks for blogging. It will be fun to read and allow me to feel closer to you.

Are you able to save your blog entries so Maddie can read them some day?

Can't wait to see you in just 2 weeks in that strange place called Idaho!!

Thanks for responding guys! I'm excited to Blog. Gabe thinks it's funny, but I figure I'm as interesting as the next guy.

First of all, I think that it's neat you are doing this. I do, however, have questions.

First, does the main picture really depict Maddie riding Tucker? Wow, I'm sure PETA has something to say about that.

Second, the last picture on the bottom comes with this caption: Baby. Who does that refer to?

I tried to blog back but I guess I just don't get it cause everything I wrote didn't end up posting. I like the blog idea alot and will be a fan if I can figure it out. Hope Maddie had a good swim today and sorry I missed you guys! Love the pics on here.

It worked, Sandy. You did it just right. Maddie loved swimming today and so did Gabe and I. Thank you!

OK,

On the swimming thing, be proud that you were all taught at TimberTrails! And, don't forget that you are related to two Olympic syncronized diving champions (still competing). Hopefully by the time Maddie is old enough, Uncle Eddie and I can still muster enough energy to show her a few diving tricks (in the shallow end with waterproof Depends!)

I love this!!! I know what you mean about the days, reminds me of the movie Groundhogs Day sometimes. So are you taking the upcoming year off? I just got back from NC. It was a very quick trip. One of these times we'll meet up in your new neck of the woods. ;)Everything here is great. Taylor has quite the personality. I can't wait for the girls to get a bit older and hang out. Miss you so much here in CA.

Sar you thought the first anonymous comments were Jer but in actuality it was my husband. I don't know why he didn't want to leave his mark. And the second comment, DAD kind of gives away his identity.
You have created a whole new world here, I LOVE IT!
